About Us
The Northeast Regional Training Institute serves the states of Connecticut, Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, and Vermont. As part of a global network of some 300 training institutes worldwide, the Northeast Regional Training Institute, through its programs and activities, provides the people of the region with a potent means to contribute to the betterment of their society.
In neighborhoods and local communities, participants in the programs of the training institute discuss and learn about the spiritual and material education of children, young people, and adults. They think about concrete initiatives that can be implemented, and with growing confidence in their ability to describe their reality and act on it, they work to help build a more united community in which all its members care about the well-being and safety of each other.
The training institute strives to create spaces that are open to all people of every age, race, and religion. To build a better world requires an ever-growing pool of people capable of contributing to the accomplishment of the myriad tasks at hand. As collaborators in the training institute, children, junior youth, youth, and adults engage in an ongoing conversation about the advancement of civilization through the application of Bahá’í principles, such as peace, justice, and the unity of humankind.
