Summer of Service

July 5 - August 2, 2025

Summer of Service is a region-wide program that invites youth over the age of fifteen to an intensive month of study, service, arts, and fellowship. The program’s aims are twofold:

  • To ensure that youth across the region are advancing in their study of institute materials and in their personal spiritual growth

  • To help them build capacity for service through helping to form and facilitate children’s classes and junior youth groups in neighborhoods across the Northeast

The effects of this program have been tremendous on the lives of participants, who have gone on to feel transformed in their service in their home communities, in their understanding of profound spiritual concepts, and in their future plans and goals.

“Constantly being around joyful, positive people helped create a more at-peace glow in my life. Sharing God’s love and grace with others is important so that others may also be of service to their communities.”

“Areas I’ve improved on through SOS included changing my mindset from ‘I can’t’ to ‘I’d like to work on building this capacity’.”

“Animating Junior Youth, I learned how to empower them, and make the group theirs. Giving them ownership and responsibility for ideas gave them confidence and made them want to serve.”
